Slice through each stud somewhere near the middle using a reciprocating saw or similar tool.
Tear out the studs running vertically through the wall.
Also be careful near the edges because you don t want to break into the ceiling or the smooth wall outside the tub.
If there s insulation remove that next and put it in trash bags.
If it isn t clear the room on both sides of the wall and cover the floors vents and the entranceways so you can contain the dust dirt and debris.
Bust a hole in the wall between the studs.
Look at the wall for electrical outlets switches etc.
Grasp each stud end one at a time and twist.
Be extra careful around the shower riser pipe.
Use the claw of the hammer to rip it out and when you have a big enough hole you can use your gloved hands to rip more out.
Unscrew the shower pipe and get it out of the way.
