To get started i cut all of the boards that make the drawer faces backs and sides.
On top you make a 1 4 inch deep groove on the bottom make a 1 8 deep inch groove both 3 4 wide.
So let s get started.
I wanted the storage to have sliding doors so i cut a notch out of the upper piece corner which was about 1 4 x 1 4.
Lastly hid the track and rollers by creating a cornice.
Make sure the side of the door you want to be up is down against the floor.
Make sure the frame is centred on the door and there is a 2 inch overhang all around as shown in the photos.

Cut the footboard in half then attach it to the.

When putting door in place insert door into upper 1 4 inch groove so now bottom fits into box.
This cabinet with sliding doors is made out of mdf and the dimensions are 140cm lenght 40cm width and 80cm hight.
Once that was done i attached it to the top of the bench step four.
Then let it down into 1 8 inch groove and that way the door is held by 1 8 in groove on bottom and also by 1 8 inch that s how much it went down in the upper groove.
Such as a cabinet or a bookcase you can use this same method to add door and drawers to your project.
