The door must be completely closed in order to re connect the garage door opener to it correctly.

Once this happens you can open and close the door electronically.
Manually move the garage door and return to down position step 2 will allow you to freely move the garage door open and close.
It should click in place.
Once you disconnect it you can then lift it manually.
To reset it begin by pulling the cord in the opposite direction.
Tighten the track bracket bolt with the socket wrench.
A word of warning.
If you pull the emergency release lever while the door is open you can cause the garage door to shut rapidly.
When you manually open your garage door it will remain in manual mode until you reengage the door opener.
When closing the garage door lower it slowly and manually lock it by sliding the lock bar.
Without the automated lifting mechanism the door can slide back down if it is not open entirely.
After the garage door is closed firmly press the garage door opener button.
Loosen the bolt that secures the door track bracket to the wall with a socket wrench and pull the track away from the door edge slightly nearest the binding area.
Once you are done maneuvering your garage door and are ready to re engage the automatic door opener please return the garage door back to the down position.
Watch and feel the travel of the door as you close it.

If you notice any binding the opener will not force the door down.
If your garage door has two different buttons that are used to open and close the garage door simply click on the one that would typically close the door.
It should move smoothly and only require a little force to open and close.
