Have a ladder ready so you can reach the top of the forms.
How to nake your own form for pouring concrete walls.
Tug the wire up to keep the spreaders out of the concrete.
Gradually raise the spreaders as you fill the space between the forms.
Pull the spacers out as you pour the concrete.
Cut a 2x12 to length or splice it with a cleat for one side of the concrete forms and nail it to a corner stake.
It would be advisable not to build the forms any taller than 4.
Start by choosing straight form boards.
Drive a nail into the concrete here.
Roll the wheelbarrow of cement over to your wooden forms and pour the cement into the footing and form area.
Once the forms are full of cement you can smooth out the top of the wall.
For a 5 in thick slab with thickened edges which is perfect for most garages and sheds 2x12 boards work best.
Pour the retaining wall.
Level the 2x12 and nail it to the second corner stake.
Measure out from that nail to where the other face of your wall will be and place another nail.
For taller walls build shorter forms to add to the 4 sections.
So if your wall is 8 inches wide your two nails should be 8 inches apart.
As your forms fill watch for the concrete to reach the wood spreaders.
Even though we are not dealing concrete blocks always base the height of a concrete wall form on a multiple of 8.
