How to remove a door that is locked shut.
To bump a lock the bump key is inserted into the keyway and pressure is applied via a hammer or a screwdriver.
Open the door and look for the latch plate along the door s edge.
Use a thin flat screwdriver to pry off the round decorative plate also sometimes referred to as a rose to reveal the lockset mounting screws.
Try to open the door while it is shut.
Sitting in the car with the doors shut press on the locking switch of the affected door lock actuator.
Apply a bit of pressure to the paper clip to trigger a release button inside the hardware.
Pull on the inside door handle and ensure that the door opens from the latched position.
If any screws are exposed during this process remove them to release the lock and remove it from the door.
Then operate the inside door handle and open the door.
The knob will not turn to retract the stuck door latch.
The latch will not retract even when the knob is turned.
Once triggered the lever or lock trim can be removed from the door.

Grab that phillips head screwdriver and start unscrewing.
Remove this screw using a drill or screwdriver.
Unscrew the face plate.
Take note of the type of resistance.
Unscrew and finish use a drill driver to remove the longer mounting screws.
Straighten a paper clip and insert it into the hole.
The door latch is not extended before rotating the knob.
Unscrew this plate and remove the latch from the door if possible.
